Frequently Asked Questions
What's the deal? Home Delivery?
Starting in September, the Co-op will begin offering home delivery service right to your door. There will be some pricing
changes, and we will also be making changes to the number and location of our site deliveries.
Why are you making these changes?
Many of our members have received phone calls over the last few months asking how we can improve the co-op. Some of our
members depend on the Co-op to get healthy and affordable food for their families. Some of our members want to support
local businesses and would like more convenience. In the interest of serving each of our members better, we decided to start
the new home delivery service. We will continue to offer affordabe food at our park sites, as well as a wider variety
of products at addiitonal convenience through home delivery.
Will home delivery be more expensive?
Prices for home delivery will be higher, though still very competitive. For home delivery, you can expect to pay what you would
at a local Sprouts or Whole Foods store.
Will the prices for park site delivery change?
You will see some prices go up, but most will remain the same. We have managed to not raise our prices in over a year, but the
cost of our food continues to go up. In order to continue functioning we need to keep our prices on par with our costs. The good
news is that we will still be cheaper than the grocery store :)
What changes are coming to the site deliveries?
We're making a big push to go back to our roots for the site deliveries. We will still be offering weekly delivery, but we will
be delivering to fewer, more centrally located sites rather than the 70+ small sites we have now. We will also be returning to
offering just our main shares for site delivery.
What products will be available for site delivery?
You can order the standard share, small share, organic share, produce box, fruit box, veggie box, meat box, poultry box, beef,
chicken, honey wheat bread, sour dough bread, honey, and coffee. In the future, we would like to add a few more of the
basics such as milk, eggs, and butter.
Why the limited product selection?
Offering only the basics allows us to keep our costs down. Low costs mean we can continue to offer our food at super affordable prices.
When will home delivery start? Will it be for everyone? Will there be a charge?
We will start home delivery the first weekend in September. Anyone can participate in either home delivery or traditional site
delivery. There will be a $5 delivery fee to cover the additional costs of delivering to your door.
How many times per week will home delivery be available?
At first, home delivery will be available on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. We may expand the delivery times if there
is demand for it.
How do I get home delivery?
After we launch, when you go to the site there will be a page asking whether you want site delivery, home delivery, or business
Select the home delivery option, and it will take you to a page where you can log in. After that, it's the same order process you
are used to; just put in your order, select whether you want Friday or Saturday delivery, and pay
for your order.
Hey! My site isn't on there! How do I get it back??
We apologize that your site isn't there. We tried to keep the most popular sites and still make sure that our members didn't have to
drive far to pick up their food. If your site was one of those closed and you REALLY want it back, give us a call. We do have a way
for members to open up new sites. If you are interested in reopening a site, give Josh a call at 746-7878.
Are you considering expanding your hours or store locations?
We are considering both options. We are working on opening up another market location. We are also working on opening our market on
more days. In either case, we will try to keep you informed of the changes.
